I just happened across this store via an Instagram ad, and let me say, I am very glad I did. I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I moved to Michigan about 9 months ago, and while I do love it here, my heart is still in Arizona. I ordered the Arizona Monsoon candle and spray package hoping to recapture the distinct smell of rain in the Sonoran desert. This candle is the next best thing to the real thing. It's a very earthy scent perfectly combined with the distinct smell of the creosote bush that evokes memories of desert mountain hikes. If you've ever hiked South Mountain after it rained, you know the smell and how refreshing it can feel. 10/10
These candles are amazing! This is my second purchase. The fragrance of the candles are enough to smell good, but do not overwhelm the room. Will definitely be getting more.

I love that I was able to get all 3 candles and all 3 room sprays at such a great price!! I fell in love with the monsoon candle first and had purchased 3 before I got my hands on the other 2 scents, Desert After Dark and Desert Orange Blossom. But, oh my goodness!!! I thought monsoon was my favorite now I'm not so sure! They're all so wonderful in their own ways!! Desert After Dark is sensual and the perfect evening candle! Orange Blossom is bright and clean and delicious without being overly fruity or floral it's got more depth than you would expect from the name.
I'm just so glad I found The Modern Sonoran and these wonderful (and CLEAN) scents!! With lots of animals and 2 children, 1 that is asthmatic, the clean part is important especially without having to sacrifice scent!
